How to create ANIMATED DIGITAL PAINTINGS in Canva

1.       Go to your Canva account, on the search box, type poster and hit search.

2.   You will have an empty Canva, choose the blank and you may now start with your digital painting.

3. Instead of going to the elements and templates we will choose videos. In this sample, I have searched for videos of sunrise.

4. Now I have now beautiful sunrise videos to choose from. You can choose the free or canva pro videos. 

5. Once done choosing suitable video for you, you can adjust the video to be fit on the page depends on the background you wanted to appear.

Background already fit on the whole page.

6. Next step is go to Elements and type mountains. (Depend on your background) Change colors that would blend with your background well. You can also duplicate your elements once done changing the colors.

7. Next photos I have searched in PHOTOS is for birds. Again, I adjusted the transparency that would blend well with the background.

8. Next I have searched in PHOTOS  is camel. Choose and add best camel photos. Adjust again the transparency to blend with the background well. Since I am only using canva free I cannot use the background remover for photos. Then I made the camel and the farmer smaller since they are far.

But in canva pro, in effects there is a background remover for your photos.

9. Now that I have the camel, I can even duplicate this and crop to blend with the first camel I have previously added.

10.  And that's it. I am done with my very first digital painting. To check how your video looks like, let’s go and play this element. You can see the animation of your chosen background that gives something extra to your poster/painting using the video elements. Once you preview the play button, you can still choose to change the elements and colors.

11. And because everything seems to be okay with my eyes, since this is my first try. I will now download and save my very first ANIMATED DIGITAL PAINTING in CANVA 

This is my finished product of my First ANIMATED DIGITAL PAINTING in CANVA.

With video as background.

Elements used are bird, mountain and camel.

Since Canva is addicting, this is my second creation.

It took me almost two hours to finished this.

I could not stop myself from exploring the elements that can be used.

Really amazing that Canva can't makes me stop browsing and creating designs.

I used plain background only. Then everything that you see are all made of elements.
