How To Setup Your Brand Kit On Canva

1. Go to canva.com and sign up using you e-mail address.

2. I prefer to use Personal.

3. You can try Canva Pro free for 30 days or maybe later.

4. You will be redirected on this window. This is how the free canva looks like. Don't forget also to verify your e-mail address by going to your e-mail inbox.

5. You can even add team to your canva account for free.

6. To activate our Brand Kit, just click on it and Brand Logos, Colors, Fonts and Palettes will appear.

7. The color palettes when are you are on a free account, you are able to add few colors.
For more ideas I recommended searching in color palette.net ideas on what color is okay beside each other.

8. For this sample, i will choose color blue. An then here's the suggested palette for color blue

9. I have clicked the palette that I have chosen. Then the hex code will show up.

10. Let's go back to canva and try adding color in our palette. It only allows us to add 3 colors.

11. Lets go back to color palette.com, choose only three colors from the palette, then paste it to your palette in Canva.

12. Go back to canva, click the palette and paste the hex code for your three chosen color from color palette.com

Now that you are done, you have the palette for your brand kit. You can even change the name of your palette to your desired name. Again limit of canva free for adding color to your brand kit is at only three. You also cannot add your logo and upload font. Disadvantage of having free canva account.

If you click designs, you have no design yet since your account is new.

To test our added color palette, let's create a design, an Instagram post.

Let's click on Instagram Post and a new tab will open.

New Tab for your Instagram post template. This is where we can use our brand colors.

Let's click on elements and try adding a square shape. As you can see, those palettes are our brand colors previously added.

Then we can add other page to use two more colors in our Instagram Page.

The last color that we can use.

As you can see, it's easy and convenient using your brand colors. You will appreciate this more as soon as you continue with your other projects. But in Canva Pro you can explore with many features being offered by upgrading to Pro. But in free version, you have the option trying the 30 days of Canva Pro for free.

If you wanna try this for 30 days you really don't have to pay anything. Several payment options also offered. And 3 days before the expiration of your trial they will e-mail you if wanna push through with the paid version.

Big difference is in Canva Pro you can add color palette as many as you want. Unlike in free that you can only add maximum of three. But when you design, suggested color palette that you will create is at least 5. For logos, you can upload as many as you want. For fonts you can upload up to 25 fonts. So choose unique font that not yet in Canva. In fonts, there is Headings, Subheading and the body.
