How To Choose Your Freelancing Niche?

1. Don't simply choose skills. You need to select a category or skill set.

 (Example: SEO, Social media and e-mail marketing are different skills but they all belong to one category - Online Marketing)

2. Focus on your strength. What are you good at? And what do you love doing?

3. Consider your experience. Sometimes, your passion, educational back ground and work experience don't match up. (A lot of BPO workers can attest to this . If you have other offline work experience, you can use it too.)

4. Don't get distracted by money. Don't choose a category just because it's the most profitable. Otherwise, you'd end up bored, unhappy or frustrated.

5. Test one category at a time. Choosing just one specialization is tough especially if you are multi-skilled. It's okay to try them all but do it one skill at a time. Ultimately choosing the right niche is like trying different flavors of ice cream. You have to taste them one by one until you find your most favorite.
