Well, all I can say is, most good writing starts as bad writing. Do you agree?
This is also creating a piece with the aim of sharing information and educating target audience and a top of sales funnel.
CONTENT WRITING vs COPY WRITING
Content Writing is more on long forms.
While Copy Writing is creating pieces that will sell advertorial and short form focused on selling products and services. It is also sales copy or output that your goal is to sell products and services and unlike Content Writing this is short form.
SKILLS TO BE A WRITER
1. Any degree or even if not graduated you can be a qualified writer.
2. Journalism graduate a plus.
3. You should really be interested in writing, reading and research.
4. Most important is you must have keen eyes for details.

1. Article Writing - informational
2. Blogging - casual or you can even use your personal experience (sometimes can monetize per blog view)
3. Ghost Writing - all your creations will not be credited to you and copyright is with client
4. SEO Writing - techniques for your article to be number one in google search using the right key word

*Writing Samples (3 to 5)
*depends on clients needs - look for related articles you have written
3. Practice writing about things you know
*Recipes (share your own and benefits)
*Diet Tips articles
*Beauty Tips
*Start with your hobbies and interest
Note: Be careful always to check your grammar - for grammar corrections commonly used is grammarly.
4. You can launch a blog for your online portfolio.
5. Pitch guest posts - look for website same or related to your article that your willing to be a contributor.
6. Brush up your English
*Study basic grammar rules
*Take online quizzes
7. Read online articles - you are interested to check their styles of writing.
8. Take online courses or watch free training.
9. Update your resume
*You can remove irrelevant previous job before
*In cover letter, for beginners highlight your best qualities (fast learner, always curious, easy to monitor, with initiative)
10. Apply for jobs - part time before settling fully as freelancer
11. Find a Client while you have your traditional job.
WHY CONTENT WRITING?
1. Written content is needed everywhere, Face Book or in news paper.
2. Work from home and free lance work.
3. Flexible work since out put based.
4. Pays good amount of money.
5. Beginners rate starts at $ 3 - 5 per 500 words.
6. Minimum article requirement is 300 to 500 words.
